Victorian furniture Inlaid New York Cabinet

American Victorian furniture,"Aesthetic furniture"Antique Victorian furniture, Aesthetic movement,American Victorian inlaid furniture cabinet, Fabulous and rare. That is the best way to describe this Wonderful New York cabinet.This cabinet could have been made by Roux. We found a copy of the New York Herald dated June 4, 1868 behind the door medallion. In side the top drawer and the bottom door is birdseye maple. Measures 35 and one half inches across (protruding extended front ornamental moldings) 33" across back. Height 43", depth 17". Herter,Meeks,J.A.Roux,John A.Lejambre,Jeliff,Kilian Brothers,Hutchings, and others did work in New York at this time.For similar examples see "Masterpieces of American Furniture from the MUNSON-WILLIAMS-PROCTOR-INSTITUE" Distributed by Syracuse University Press.PLEASE! click onto the other images to obtain different views of this great piece.

"Antique Flattop desk" Period Antique English Georgian flat top mahogany desk c1840-60. Retaining its original hand tooled leather top. Wide dovetailed drawers. Brass drawer locks are marked London. Measures 54inches long by 31" deep by 30" high. This desk has a deep rich color. Please click on the other views to obtain different images of this fine period English desk. Antique "dropfront desk" Early period Antique American furniture drop front desk. Wonderful early Hepplewhite drop front desk made from mahogany with pine secondary wood. We believe this drop front desk to be American because of the secondary pine. C1790-1820. Meaures 39 and one half inches wide by 44" high, 20" deep, 32" to writting surface. Wonderful Cuban mahogany desk lid made from solid stock.This antique dropfront desk has excellent burled elm interior with a secret drawer. No major repairs. All the drawer bottoms are in great shape and the drawers slide easily.

Antique "Chinese dragon chair" Antique dragon chair,Finely carved 19th century Chinese furniture carved dragon or serpent chair. This Antique Chinese chair has some of the best carving we have seen on chairs of this type. Truly One of a Kind. Carved for the export trade around 1880.
