Until I punched in "filigree" along with antique/brass/hanging/Indian/etc......I wasn't pulling up any pictures that resemble what I have. My Dad was an art/antique/music box collector-dealer who left behind many items I have hung onto, but never knew the approximate value of. I have one such fixture with the same lattice-type work, but it is taller, in that it has a more domed top/shape. It also only has one bulb. Now, I'm off to check your response on the cloisonne lamp...... Thanks again.......I'm glad to know you're out there. Debbie G |

Hi Cheri Everything worked out just grand. Ron was two and a half hours early. what a wonderful guy he is. We cooled him down with some lemonade and chatted for a while. there are no words to describe the beauty of that cage other than I watched the cage more than the preseason football game that was on. I usually have pretty good luck with things I have shipped, but occasionally something goes wrong. This was one of those packages I was praying over! Hello Tom, The bedroom set arrived in perfect condition on Saturday. We are thrilled with the set! Dave wanted to set up the bedroom set right away and has been sleeping in the bed since it came. The only problem we had was that none of our box springs would fit in the bed frame. So Dave and I took out our handy dandy tools and shortened the box spring by a half inch. It fits perfectly now! We just wanted to let you know how happy we are with the set and we wanted to thank you. When we sent off a cashier's check for $5000.00 to someone we never met it was a little nervewracking. Thanks for making sure the transaction went flawlessly. Dave and I are on vacation next week. We hope to be in your area to maybe do some antiquing. To you all: The Montross hawk painting arrived today. I uncrated it and put it in place. I LOVE IT! It will now become the focal point in my livingroom area,and the inspiration to get on with changes that I had been putting off . When all is done, I will send a photo of the final result. Hello, I recieved the wonderful Italian pendant today. I am delighted with it.You probably know that it;s a protective/ magical / talismanic piece, worn by Stregas (witches) as well as by ordinary folk. I believe the tree is actually a sprig of rue,known as 'the herb of grace'and some round marks on on the branches may be interpreted as an indication of a branch of coral. I can't quite make out the symbol between the angel and snake, nor do I know the significence of the (male)persons on the chains posture or what they hold. Wheat? Do you know? Thank you so much for the information. I, obviously, am an antique dealer and I have this sculpture with a clock. The clock is red marble with bronze figures on the sides. The face of the clock also has Barbedienne on it. I bought this in France with my last container, and I took it home! I love it!!! All of the inscriptions are the same as you have described on the sculpture. Hi Thomas, The andirons arrived Thursday afternoon. They're beautiful and just as pictured. They really show the handmade workmanship. They are very heavy. We just love them! They will certainly carry on the tradition of warming a cozy hearth. The Boston Truck Company called Thursday morning and asked if it would be all right if they delivered the items in late afternoon. They were in Chicago but were making deliveries along the North Shore in the morning. We chatted and I gave them directions to our home. The two men were very nice and carried the andirons into the garage for me for storage until our construction is finished. Thank you again, it has been nice doing business with you. Rita B |
