Federal 2 drawer work stand with brass inlay c1790 Item # 8081 Click HERE to inquire about this item RARE Federal 2 drawer mahogany work stand with brass inlay. Both drawers are partially compartmented for storage of needlework implements and threads. Turned legs on original brass casters. Measures 18.25" W x 18" D x 28.75" H. Excellent condition. Under one of the inside doors there is an inscription which says; East Haven September 1853. English or Scottish, in the style of Liberty and William Morris. Top section has arch top mirror over 2 vertical mirrors with 2 clear leaded beveled glass doors between; the lower section has a mirrored backsplash over 2 drawers and 2 doors. The surface is inset with the original cream, pink, and gold marble. The cabinet is further enhanced with incised carved floral panels, brass hardware, and a pristine white enamel paint finish.
