These matching antique American mahogany fern or plant stands feature tripod snake foot bases. The feet are hand dovetailed into the base. The upper shafts are carved in a wheat motif, and the lower shafts are fluted. These elegant ferns stands measure 51 and one half inches high with a 10 and one half inches top. The period doors each measure 24 inches wide by 73 and one quarter inches high. There is also two handmade drawers for storage on the inside. This French style desk was made by the Baker Furniture company. Baker has made some of the best reproduction furniture of period designs on the market. This very high quality desk has two drawers, solid brass pulls and hand tooled leather top. Measures 59 and one half inches wide by 29 inches high and 27 and one half inches deep. Excellent condition with some slight normal wear on the leather surface. C1950. The original Baker label is inside the left drawer. French 18th Directoire walnut chest with four drawers c1770 Item # 4976 Click HERE to inquire about this item French 18th Directoire walnut chest with four drawers c1795. This chest is in original condition including its locks and hardware. A couple of the handles are of the period and are a near exact match. The insides of the drawers retain their period wall paper.The top is made from two beautiful bookmatched boards. What is amazing is the front four drawers and the cross pieces were all cut from the same single piece of walnut veneer so that the grain runs completely across the front, instead of two different bookmatched pieces cut to form the fronts of the four drawers.
