Joseph Gerte Co Boston Satin wood Regency Style bookcase. This Satin wood bookcase was hand made by "Joseph Gerte" one of the finest furniture makers in Boston Mass. This rare piece has watered silk in side, ebony inlay, bookmatched satinwood veneers, dental molding, wood and glass shelves, a divided light middle door and two side doors with bronze screen inserts. This an absolutely stunning piece of American furniture made between 1930 to 1940. Measures 79 inches high,60 inches wide,16 and one half inches deep at base and 10 inches at the top. Mint original condition

Hans Wegner modern wishbone dining Y chairs Ch 24. This assembled set of four modern Danish "Hans Wegner" dining chairs consists of one period chair from the 1950 period and three newer additions. Each chair measures 28 and one half inches to the top of their backs and 27 and one half inches to the top of the front of the arm.17 inches to the top of their seats and 20 and one half inches deep. This set of chairs is in mint original condition including their seats. Made from beech with rush seats.

This American blanket chest measures 18 and seven eighths inches deep by 60 and three quarters inches wide and is 21 and one half inches high. Original hinges, this pine blanket chest is hand dove tailed, circa 1800 and is a rare, large size.

Longridge Wheel Back English Windsor Bow Back Chairs c1820

Assembled set of five period antique Longridge English wheel back Windsor chairs c1820. The side chairs each measure 16 inches high to the top of their seats. The seat is 14 and one half inches wide and 13 inches front to seat back and 34 inches high overall. The arm chairs measure 33 inches and 36 inches high overall, 17 inches high to the seat top, 15 and one half inches seat to back, 16 inches wide inside the arms, 25 and 27 inches high to the arms, 18 inches deep overall. See "The English Windsor Chair" by Thomas Crispin page 13 for more information on this type of period antique English Windsor chair. Each chair is in excellent condition,strong, tight and quite comfortable.

Heywood Wakefield solid maple Windsor style arm chairs

Heywood Wakefield set of 6 solid maple Windsor style arm chairs. These "Heywood Wakefield" low back arm chairs were made in the style of the Philadelphia low back Windsor circa 1755-1765. Each chair was hand made from solid rock maple with bulbous turnings. They are very heavy and well made, and are truly comfortable - great family chairs. Each of the bulbous turnings is mortised through the surface and set with wooden splines. This is top quality craftsmanship circa 1940. All of the chairs are very strong and in original condition. Each of these Haywood Wakefield chairs measures 29 and 1/2 inches high to the back, 27 1/2 inches high to the arms, 23 inches wide, 23 inches deep, and 17 and one quarter inches to the seat. See American Windsor Chairs page 85 by Nancy Goyne Evans to see an example of this style of American Windsor chair. Heywood Wakefield furniture is prized by collectors.
