The single drawer measures 23 inches wide and 3 and and three quarters inches high. the base measures 36 and and one half inches wide and 20 adn and three quarters inches deep.

- - - - - - | Louis XVI Style French Giltwood Console Table Item # 1933 Click HERE to inquire about this item Louis XVI Style Giltwood Console Table Circa 1880 This table has a D-shaped marble top, above a conforming frieze. It is ornamented at the round ends with fluting. The central shaped panel is centered by a scrolled leaf ornament and accented with scrolled leaves and branches. The square molded legs are scrolled at the tops with leaf and flower carving. They are joined by curved stretchers centered by a husk-draped classical urn,and supported on gadrooned toes. It measures 43 inches high by 78 inches wide by 20 inches deep. This piece was originally sold at Sothebys in New York City.

This matched pair of period Chinese chairs are in excellent original condition and date from the mid 19th century. They are made of elm wood ("This example represents a more normal proportioning of the more official cap type of arm chairs. All their vertical lines bend inward as they rise, lightening the design; and the splay of the front legs is greater than that of the back. The projecting top rail helped to accommodate an ample width of fabric, which in earlier days was commonly thrown over both back and seat and allowed to descend toward the floor. In such cases, a footstool was often further provided. Thus equipped, the chair became a seat of honor fitting it for the use of some dignitary." See "Chinese Household Furniture" by George N. This wagon seat dates from the early 18th century is made from maple and has wonderul wood pin construction.Most probably made in New England. Early wagon seats are hard to find in this condition.This period American wagon seat measures 33 and and one half inches wide, 37 inches to the top of its side turnings. Traces of the original black paint can be seen all over. This wagon seat came to us from an Old Lyme Connecticut estate.
