This gentleman's dresser measures 33 inches wide,18 inches deep,55 and one half inches to its top and 64 inches to the top of the back gallery. This is only the second three drawer Sheraton work stand we have had for sale in our thirty years of selling fine American Federal Furniture. Most work stands have either one or two drawers. This Sheraton twist leg work stand measures 21 and one half inches wide,17 inches deep and 30 inches high with three drawers that measures 3 and three quarters,3 and three quarters, and 3 inches. They are all 15 and one half inches wide. Original finish and key. Replaced brass knobs from Horton brass Co which makes exact reproduction hardware. Please notice how the cabinet maker made the front and back legs so that they appose each other. This is much more difficult to do than carving four legs that all turn in the same directions. Only the best cabinet makers took the time to make apposing legs.

This "antique storage chest" measures 42 and three quarters inches wide by 16 and three quarters inches deep and is 15 inches high. The inside measures 40 and three eighths inches wide by 15 inches deep and is 13 and one quarter inches high. The original red paint can be seen in one of the accompanying photographs. This period American blanket box dates from 1790 to1820 and has lovely hand cut dovetails. We rarely find pieces with their original paint and almost never in red paint.
