Victorian mahogany sheet music cabinet c1887 Item # 4195 Click HERE to inquire about this item Victorian solid cherry sheet music cabinet c1887. This "Victorian Music Cabinet" was made in America and is dated under the drawer B H Co 11/22/87 #64. We are not sure who this company was but the craftsmanship is superb. All the carving is hand done not applied. There are serpents on the drawer face and a lovely musical scene carved into the door face. The inside of this piece is just beautiful and in mint condition. The exterior finish is original and also in mint condition. The claw feet are solid brass with wooden ball inserts. This music cabinet measures 49 and one half inches to the top of the brass rail, 14 and three quarter inches deep,21 and one half inches wide and 38 inches to the top surface. This is with out a doubt the best American Victorian music cabinet we have ever handled. The shelves can come out so this stand could be used for many other purposes such as a liquor cabinet, document or magazine holder etc. This item is in our online price guide and is not available for sale

This antique "library table" is derived from those of the Tuscan High Renaissance. It measures 53 and one half inches long by 28 and one quarter inches wide, and the carved heads project another 1 and three quarters inches. It is 31 inches high. This table has carved rams head corners, and carved scholars heads along the flat edges. There are 7 fluted columns, and a double cross stretcher base. Mid to late 19th century. R J Horner ladys inlaid drop front desk Item # 4206 Click HERE to inquire about this item R J Horner ladys inlaid drop front desk. This "RJ Horner" ladys desk is in excellent original condition. The lid is inlaid with ivory,brass and satin wood. The desk is made from solid mahogany. This is one of the finest examples of R J Horners work. The drawers are all solid mahogany and made with large hand cut dovetails. The little interior drawers are hand dovetailed as well. Measures 41 inches high by 28 and one half inches wide and 17 inches deep. It is 28 and one half inches to the top of the writing surface when the lid is down. The original label is on the reverse which says R J Horner Furniture Makers 61,62,63, West 23rd Street NY. The condition is excellent with the exception of the original leather on the writing surface. This is well worn. We did not want to replace this because it has a wonderful old original look that many of our clients like but it could be replace very inexpensively if a buyer wants a fresh new leather look.
