| - - - - - - - - - - | Nathan Margolis furniture mahogany snakefoot candlestand c1938 Item # 7775 Click HERE to inquire about this item Vintage Nathan Margolis furniture solid mahogany dish top snakefoot candlestand c1938.This table is an exact vintage copy of a period American 18th century candlestand. Even in its day it was a very expensive table to reproduce because of its dish top. Dish top tables are created from a solid piece of mahogany. The entire top is one piece unlike less expensive pieces that were made with applied top molding. This table was made from perfectly matched mahogany. The base has what is called a snake foot design. Each leg is hand dovetailed into the center turning. Measures 26 inches high, 20 inches across its top.The Margolis burn with border brand with border marking was used from about 1937 until 1941. The Margolis furniture store was in Hartford CT and was in operation during the early 20th century. They reproduced the finest examples of period 18th and early 19thc American furniture designs for their wealthy clients.

- - - - - - - - - | Handmade New England pine country kitchen table Item # 7784 Click HERE to inquire about this item Country pumpkin pine hand made hand hewed and pinned dining table made from antique pine .This wonderful hand made hand hewed farm house table was made from two wide 18th century pine boards straight tapered legs, bread board ends and wooden pin construction by a local master craftsman that has agreed to painstakingly make hand made tables in the early American 18th century manner. These are tables who's size and quality and design we can just not find in our daily searches for fine antiques. They are made by hand with antique block planes which give that lovely hand hewed look. Each tables size is determined by the size of the 18th century board we find, no two will be the same. Early boards have the most beautiful deep rich patina which simply can not be duplicated with new boards. The top board retains all its original wear and old pot mark which gives it the true period look that is the most desirable. This table measures 79 .25 inches long, 36 and one quarter inches deep,and 29 inches high. This table would be just perfect in a country kitchen or dining room.
