This American Aesthetic movement desk is unsigned but we know from selling similar pieces that it was made by Allen Bros. In Philadelphia c1880. This desk is in mint condition and retains its original finish. The back is finished as well as the front so this desk could be placed in the middle of a room. There are two drawers that slide out of each side and three front drawers with hand made brass drawer pulls. This is the American Aesthetic movement at its best, fine carving, matched mahogany, and eye pleasing diminutive proportions.

This birdseye maple cheval mirror is in mint original condition. The original John Breuner label is still on the reverse. The front and back are all covered with birdseye maple and the scroll design is all hand carved. As nice as the pictures we have provided look this cheval mirror is far more important looking in person. The light maple color gives it an elegant look. Measures 71 and one quarter inches high by 32 inches at its widest point. The design of this antique Cheval mirror is quite unusual, it was handmade so the the mirror and the supporting arms pivot without having to move the whole piece or its base. John Breuner, a famous Sacramento furniture maker, was reputed to have started his career building cradles for the miners and had a thriving business building sturdy beds. This Period American Federal Hepplewhite dining table is quite rare because the top and each of the drop leaves where cut from the same single wide board. The grain is stunning and very pronounced with a deep rich uniform color. This table could easily seat eight people. Measures 48 inches wide,29 and seven eighths inches high, 18 and one half inches deep with two 19 inches leaves. This table is strong, all original with out repairs with a later hand rubbed finish that will not leave water marks when used. The leaves are perfectly straight which is quite unusual to find.

The hand carving detail is the best we have seen on any Paine furniture piece. This table measures 83 and three quarters long by 33 and three quarters inches wide by 31 and one quarter inches high. This table is all original and in excellent condition. The top was made in a parquet design which makes for a very important early design look.
