Antique Victorian Twist leg mahogany partners desk c1880

Item # 4835
Click HERE to inquire about this item

Antique Victorian Twist leg mahogany partners desk c1880. This partners desk has drawers on each side. One drawer is false and the other is real. The desk was made from solid mahogany with two single mahogany solid wood boards on the top that were covered with stunning book matched mahogany veneers. The satiny grain has a zebra like pattern running all throughout. This desk is in excellent condition and the top has been refreshed to bring out the amazing grain and color of the book matched veneer. There is on small area on the top of one corner where there is a very slight raise to the veneer where perhaps a plant sat for years. This is barely noticeable and does not affect the integrity of the surface. There are no cracks, splits or repairs. The drawer bottoms are each made from solid cherry with large hand cut dovetails. This is one of the best library table partners desks we have come across. This table measures 55 and one half inches wide by 31 and one half inches deep by 31 and one half inches high.
