Pottier and Stymus was located in New York City and was one of the premier cabinet making firms in America in the late nineteenth century. Pottier and Stymus produced interiors for private and commercial clients in the US and Europe.Very few pieces are marked, identifying its furniture can be difficult. Pottier and Stymus made furniture in the neo-grec, Renaissance revival, and Egyptian revival styles. They also produced furniture in the modern Gothic style.
