This is the only six board blanket chest or trunk we have seen with a secret compartment. The left inside drawer is fake. When you remove the right drawer and pull out the center divider you can access the secret drawer as shown in one of the pictures provided. This blanket chest has its old red wash and is dovetailed on all four sides. Excellent original condition including hinges and lock. No repairs or restoration. Measures 40 inches wide by 20 inches deep and 19 inches high.
