This piece originally had a large back mirror. Measures 48 inches wide by 38 inches high.

It dates from the Renaissance Revival, between 1900 and 1930, when massive European "court" style furniture was fashionable. It was copied after an Italian Renaissance period court cupboard. The dovetails, the gadroon molding at the base, and the inveted shield molding at the top are all machine-cut. The masks and medallions were carved by hand. The wood is walnut. Measures 64 inches long by 41 inches high and 24 inches deep
