Knoll studio barcelona coffee table stainless steel and glass c1950 Item # 8519 Click HERE to inquire about this item This 1929 classic design by Mies Van der Rohe exemplifies his philosophy of minimalism. Manufactured by Knoll Studio. The polished stainless steel base shows no seams,single piece construction. BARCELONA TABLE Dimensions: 40" square, 17" high. Glass top is 3/4" thick clear polished float glass with a 1/8" wide beveled edge. Very good original condition. Purchased new in 1950"s. This design won an award from the Museum of Modern Art New York,1977. Stamped K P 2 on its base for Knoll products. The original tables like this one are made from stainless steel, the later ones are chrome. These are far more valuable.
