There is an old repair to the back where it cracked and was reglued other than that this chair is in mint condition with wonderful old wear and painted surface.

Young furniture was from the American Arts and Crafts movement. They were competitors to Gustav and L and JG Stickley . This chair is quite hard to find because of the desirable long slat sides. The finish is all original. We just had a new leather seat put over its original seat frame which is the same color that was used in the period. This chair dates from the early 19th century. This desk or library chair measures 40 and one quarter inches to the top of it's back, 27 inches to the top of the arms and 20 inches to the top of the seat.
