Fantastic set of second period American Philadelphia ribbon back chairs consisting of two arms and six sides. This true set of chairs were hand made by a master craftsman from a beautiful extinct mahogany. This fine antique set of chairs are so great that we thought they were first period. A set of this quality from the first period are extremely rare and would sell in the $80,000 + range if one could find them. The arm chairs have a wonderful handcarved scroll design on the arms and measure 38 and one half inches high, 19 inches wide by 18 and one half inches deep, inside, 18 and one half inches seat height. Side chairs measure 38 and one half inches high, 18 inches by 18 and one half inches, inside, 18 and one half inches seat height.Some minor old restoration but these chairs are in excellent as found condition.
