- - - - - | Antique French Lingerie Chest Item # 4288 Click HERE to inquire about this item Antique French Lingerie Chest. This French mahogany chest is a rare small size. This antique chest dates from 1840 to1870 and measures 43 and one half inches high, 13 and three quarters inches deep, and 28 inches wide. The quality of this chest is so high that there are dust covers in between each drawers. Each drawer has wide hand cut dovetails with oak sides,back and bottom as opposed to pine which is soft and wears out easily. There are also removable pegs inside each drawer that keep them from coming out completely. This allows a drawer to open all the way with out being held on to by hand, keeps them from falling completely out.

Unsigned probably Connecticut.This pair of antique Windsor arm chairs measures 25 and seven eighths inches at the widest point, outside of the arms, and 22 and three quarters inches deep overall, 18 and one quarter inches high to the peak of the seat front, center, 15 inches deep seat to back, 18 and one half inches wide inside arms at the base of the arms on the seat, and 39 and one eighth inches high overall. The top of the arm is 28 and one quarter inches high. This is a true pair just in from a CT estate. Condition. Old refinish with a small piece missing on one of the chairs right arms which we show in the pictures provided. Strong no breaks,wear to seats. Combination of pine,ash and hickory. Great height and wonderful turnings. See the Windsor Style in America page 98 for a similar example.
