This is a flat top double pedestal desk, made of mahogany and mahogany veneers. It was made about 1940 to 1950. The Kittinger Company began manufacturing furniture, under that name, in 1913 in Buffalo, NY. They began manufacturing fine office furniture in the nineteen-twenties. They continue in business today, and still make the same model. This desk needs to be refinished.

It measures 45 inches d x 60 inches across by 33 inches high. It is in good condition and it easily comes apart in 3 for more pieces for easy moving. On each side there are 2 narrow drawers above the roll front pedestals, 1 wide center drawer, and a pull-out writing surface. The writing surfaces are covered with the original black leather. The top of the desk was recovered with green leather in the 70’s. All drawers can accommodate legal-size goods. Behind the roll front of each pedestal are a drawer and an area with compartments. The compartments are customizable by removing the slats. C1900.
