Antique R J Horner Co carved partners desk Item # 3580 Click HERE to inquire about this item Antique R J Horner furniture, This American Victorian partners desk was made by the famous furniture maker "R J Horner" at 61, 63, 65 West 23rd Street New York City NY. The original Horner label in under one of the drawers. This partners desk is made from solid mahogany and has four carved griffins one on each corner.There are two replaced drawer bails. Horner furniture is quite rare. This RJ Horner desk measures 48 inches widest at top, 30 and one quarter inches deep, and 38 inches wide at the feet. This antique desk measures 29 and one quarter inches high to the desktop and 8 and one half inches high to the top of the bottom shelf. All the bronze pieces are covered with ormolu. Excellent castings and condition. This "French Recamier" was obviously made by a master craftsman. This antique French recamier measures 28 inches deep, is 36 inches at the highest point. The eagle feet measure 14 inches. From the floor to the top cushion measures 26 inches high and measures 19 and one half inches high to the top of the bottom cushion. The shorter side measures 26 and one half inches high and this antique French day bed measures 74 and one half inches long overall.
