This "antique country pine" cabinet measures 62 and three quarters inches wide overall by 42 inches high overall and is 21 and one eighths inches deep, overall. This Pennsylvania cabinet measures 36 and one half inches high to the counter top. The large drawers measure 18 and one quarters inches wide and are 2 and three quarters inches deep down; the middle drawer measures 9 and three eighths inches wide and is 2 and three quarters inches deep down. The doors measure 20 and one half inches wide by 23 inches high, inside. The entire piece was constructed with wooden pin construction. The back boards, top, shelves and top and bottom moldings were all put on with hand made wooden pins. There is a trace of the original green paint on the raised panel doors. This was originally a two piece cupboard. Many years ago the back splash was added to the bottom so it would could be used as a server. The back splash was made exactly as it should be with wide hand cut dovetails and mortised into the base. There are three groves that run across the entire back in front of the back splash for holding plates. The entire base is original including the og feet. This period American country piece has a lovely old waxed patina.

Most Paul Laszlo furniture seen on the market today was made in this country after the Second World War. This Paul Laszlo bed predates his arrival in the US in 1937 where he moved to Beverly Hills California.
