Set of twelve Modern Thonet maple bentwood side chairs Item # 6268 Click HERE to inquire about this item Vintage matched set of twelve Thonet modern maple bentwood side chairs c1950 to 1960 just in from a CT estate. Each chair is very strong and comfortable. They are designed with a gentle spring to the backs and saddle carved seats making them comfortable to sit in for long periods of time. The original Thonet (1 Park Ave NY) paper labels are under most of the chairs. Each chair measures 32 inches to the top back, 17 inches to the top seat, and 15 inches wide and deep. Courting chairs were common in Victorian parlors in the mid to late 19th century. This one is in excellent condition with its original finish. Measures 45 inches wide by 21 inches deep, 34 and one half inches high at the back and 17 and three quarters inches high at the seat. Large carved oak server with lion masks and mirror back c1885 Item # 6280 Click HERE to inquire about this item Large carved oak server or sideboard, c1885, with lion masks and mirrored back. All the carving was hand carved from the case, not applied. There are two divided light doors over a base with two lion carved drawers flanked by two doors. This server was made in two parts. Overall it measures 60 inches wide by 80 inches high by 24 inches deep. It is 37 and one half inches to the top surface.
