Hermann was a master silversmith who worked in Copenhagen between1949 and 1965. We were told by our consignor that this piece was the one he entered to become part of the silver guild. The tri pod base is quite wonderful with lions that have their feet resting on large balls. This silver tankard measures 5 and three quarter inches high with a 4 and one quarter inch top. The base measures 6 inches across the lion base. The base is hallmarked C C Hermann Denmark Sterling 54 Y. Weighs 610 grams. This item is in our online price guide and is not available for sale

Each measures 3 inches in diameter at the top and 2 and one eighths inches in diameter at the base, and each stands 2 inches tall. There are traces of the original gold vermeil inside each one.This pair of Tiffany and Co sterling silver master salts are each marked Tiffany Co 5881 M 1822 sterling silver x 68.
