This Kalo bowl measures 9 and one half inches wide by 2 inches high and was made in the Kalo Shop which started at 175 Dearborn Michigan . The hand hammered detail in this silver bowl is true perfection with graceful lobes. Signed KALO M 312 sterling on its reverse. The Kalo Shop was largely the personal creation of Clara Barck Welles who had come to Chicago for Oregon and started the shop around 1900 to 1902. Samuel Kirk was born 1793 died 1872.The pitcher is hall marked on its base rim SAML.KIRK S.K 11.OZ Condition: excellent with the exception of a small fine line crack at rolled edge under handle at top of rim.
