This fantastic and rare pair of sterling silver hand hammered bowls were made by the "Boardman" silver company which is no longer in business. This pair is absolutely exquisite!The are quite large at 11 and one half inches across the top and 5 and three quarters inches high. They would make the perfect addition to a sideboard or dining table. Both bowls were hand made from a single piece of sterling silver. The hammered workmanship is so great that they look like rain on a window pane. They are also quite heavy at 1540 and 1520 grams.Made between C1930 to 1940. Boardman copied an original Paul Revere bowl to get this hand hammered look. They would also go perfectly with an Arts and Crafts decor.
