F W Lawrence Albert Herter Dominick and Haff sterling silver bowl Item # 3321 Click HERE to inquire about this item Artist Albert Herter gift to his son Albert Herter 2nd.F W Lawrence Sterling Silver F W Lawrence, Dominick and Haff sterling silver bowl designed by "F W Lawrence" This lovely Art Nouveau bowl was made in 1904 and measures 5 and three quarters inches across and 5 and one half inches high with its lid in place. This lovely piece weighs 330 grams. Signed on base May 4 1900. This bowl was given by Artist Albert Herter to his son Albert Herter the 2nd and is marked on its base. Albert Herter was born in 1871 and died in 1950. See Who Was Who In American art page 1545. When F W Lawrence made this bowl he made a silver makers mistake with one of the four gold inlaid designs on top of the flower lid,other wise the piece is in very good condition.When applying heat to add the gold inlaid it appears the silver ran just a bit but his was done at the time the piece was made. The perfect gift for any Albert Herter collector. This peice was consigned to us by a relative of the artist. This item is in our online price guide and is not available for sale
