| - - | Francois Boucher Porcelain Urn Item # 3664 Click HERE to inquire about this item Francois Boucher Porcelain Urn or vase with handles and a lid, dates to about 1900 or so, but the stamped numbers on the base are not enough to identify the manufacturer or the country of origin. The "signature" on the log is not a true signature because the scene is transfer-printed, not hand-painted. F. Boucher stands for Francois Boucher, a renowned French artist who was born in 1703 and died in 1770. He was a court favorite of King Louis XV. He painted mostly romantic scenes of lovers in idyllic surroundings. His paintings hang in museums all over the world. This urn is printed with an image of one of his paintings.

- - - - - | Antique Frog porcelain Teapot Item # 3669 Click HERE to inquire about this item This is a sea green pottery teapot in the form of a ribbed leaf with a twig handle, with three comical-looking brown frogs. It is a charming pot. It was probably made around 1940 or so. The number on the base is not enough to identify the factory because they all used production numbers. Most potteries used incised identification marks, but some used paper labels - that is probably what this pot had. If I had to guess its origin, I would say the Niloak Pottery in Benton, Arkansas, is a good possibility. Niloak operated from 1909 to 1946
