This platter was [produced in a limited edition and made available to Yale University's students,faculty and graduates 1n 1949. This platter has a wonderful blue transfer that depicts Yale University's main entrance along with The State House New Haven Ct along many of its buildings in the early 19th century taken from a print done in 1832 by A. J. Davis. Stamped on its reverse Wedgwood of Ethuria and Barlaston.

- - - - - - - - - | Antique Minton or George Jones Majolica Squirrel dish Item # 3307 Click HERE to inquire about this item Antique English Minton or George Jones Majolica Squirrel dish, This "Minton" or possibly "George Jones" majolica pottery dish has a wonderful glaze and is extremely well done. The mark appears to be from the English Minton factory around 1851. The subject of this piece depicts a squirrel on a brand with leavers and nuts and a blue sky in the back ground. George Jones worked for Minton pottery in England before he went out on his own. This is one of the best pieces of antique Majolica pottery we have seen in quite awhile. This wonderful decorative piece measures 10 inches wide by 9 and one half inches deep and 5 and one half inches to the top of the squirrels head.Condition Excellent. No dings imperfections cracks. One tiny tiny little surface pin head glaze flake.
