A finely painted traditional shape lidded Japanese teapot and 5 cups decorated with a classic palace and landscape scene with Mt. Fuji in the background, each cup and the teapot are signed, twice. All perfect condition. Cup dimensions: 3 3/4" dia. x2 1/2" H. Teapot: 5" H x 5" dia., plus handle. Japan, c. 1880--1900

Baker Chocolate Co. porcelain plaque c1880 by Mr Bucker Walker. Mr Bucker catered to an English clientele and made this for the British market. It is the registered trademark of the Walker Baker Chocolate Co. of Dorchester, MA. The painting is a copied after "The Chocolate Girl" by the Swiss artist Jean Etienne Liotard (1702-1789) The original painting hangs in the Dresden Art Gallery. Measures 5 x 6.5 inches.

A matched pair of Japanese porcelain vases c1900 to 1920. Each vase measures 12.25 inches high, 7 inches wide, 5 inches across the neck with a 4.25 inch opening, and 6 inches across the base. Excellent condition with 7 scholars painted impressionist style in inky cobalt blue on finely crackled sand white ground.

Japanese Kutani porcelain dry tea storage jar c 1880

Meiji period Kutani porcelain jar for storing dry tea. The inner lid has a knob and fits inside the jar neck; the outer lid fits over the jar neck. The jar is predominately white and iron red with shades of pink, aqua, and taupe, and is lavishly embellished with gold. The inner lid has a chrysanthemum, plum blossoms, and clouds. The outer lid shows a tea ceremony. There is a band of flying cranes at the shoulder of the jar. All around the body of the jar are 11 medallions of various shapes with richly detailed scenes from Japanese fables. The jar is 14" tall, 11" wide, 5" wide at neck, and 5.5" wide at base.
