Fine exact reproduction of a primitive, colonial, non-electrified chandelier hand crafted by Richard D. Scofield of Period Lighting Fixtures in the 1980s. (Its original counterpart hung in the Hathaway House in Suffield, CT.) Measures 28” W X 17.25” H with 8 arms. It is #C109-8 in the original Period Lighting Fixtures catalog. Richard Scofield made the finest exact copies of period American lighting in the country and was allowed by Historic Deerfield to make copies of its collection. This chandelier features hand-turned painted wood with aged tin arms. After he died at an early age, the company continued under different ownership but finally closed. The earlier works like this one are coveted by collectors of period Americana. In the original catalog from Period Lighting Fixtures it is item C109-8)
