Bench made solid tiger maple dining table and six matching fan back Windsor chairs, circa 1980. Strong all over tiger grain and beautiful light honey finish. The table has porringer ends, pronounced hand block-planed top, wooden pin construction and country Queen Anne legs. Excellent craftsmanship and condition, strong and very comfortable. We rarely come across sets of solid tiger maple chairs. The table measures 72" long x 35.5" wide x 29.75" high. The 2 armchairs are 44" high at the back, 28.75" high to the arms, 17.5" high to the seats, 27.5" wide and 17" deep. The side chairs are 39" high to the back, 17.5" high to the seats, 27" wide and 17" deep.

Howard and Sons, London, mahogany Georgian style games table. Hand built from heavy single stock mahogany. Single hand cut dovetailed drawer, cut-out wells for game chips or coins, and corner wells for drinks (in the 18th century the corner wells would have held candles). Measures 32.5" square x 28.5" high. The label states: Howard & Sons Manufacturers 25,26,27, Berners St, London, W. Earlier pieces are signed Howard & Sons, Berners Street, prior to the company's expansion. The business was opened in 1820. Howard sofas and chairs became popular during the Victorian era amongst the upper class. They collaborated with Gillows of Lancaster. They supplied furniture to the Savoy Hotel in London. Howard & Sons received a number of Royal Warrants of Appointment. Some authentic designs of Howard & Sons furniture nowadays are in the State Hermitage museum, Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Their pieces are highly coveted by collectors.

A delicate Federal-era design with gracefully tapered, curved legs ending in fine spade feet. The center column has a deeply profiled urn-shaped and tapered pillar and is topped by a light oval tip top. The top tips to the vertical position for storage or display. The table is in excellent condition with two old repairs. One of its legs has had a small chip to its end re-glued, and the tilt block was cracked and reset. James H. Dew hand crafted round table in pumpkin pine circa 1980. James H. Dew was located in Guilford, Connecticut, and was a retailer of D. R. Dimes furniture. Mr. Dew occasionally built bespoke tables for clients made using 18th century boards. This table has a 3-board top and straight tapered legs. The top and skirt are hand block planed. The under brace that he used was sourced from D. R. Dimes. Measures 47.5 inches across and 29.75 inches high. The color of the top is a rich honey tone. Comfortably seats 4 or 6 in a pinch. The chairs are shown are for scale and not included. The price is for the table alone.

Measures 39.75 inches long, 19.75 inches deep and 19 inches high. The cookie-corner top of this coffee table is made from the most wildly figured tiger maple boards we have ever seen.

Rare American San Domingo mahogany dining table, Federal period, circa 1810. Drop leaves with straight tapered swing legs. Measures 63.5 inches x 52 inches wide and 29 inches high when fully open. The single board center is 18.5 inches wide, and the two single board leaves drop down 22 inches. Condition is excellent. All original, no cracks or warping. Seats 8. San Domingo mahogany, which is obsolete, is the most desirable wood for a piece of furniture. The natural beauty and richness of color is hard to describe. Swing leg dining tables allow more flexible seating than gateleg tables. The swing leg can be placed at any angle to support the leaves. Hepplewhite design is eminently compatible with other period antiques and even modern pieces due to its simple clean lines.

Vintage Reglor Mid Century Modern pair gladiator lamps

Fantastic vintage pair of Mid Century Modern Reglor gladiator lamps circa 1950-60 in excellent original condition. Dramatically posed, male and female, very Hollywood. Each lamp measures 23 inches high and 34.5 to to of the harp. Bernie Stein and Rena Stein began Regor of California in 1947. Reglor is the combination of the names Rena and her cousin Gloria. Credit for the design inspirations is to be shared with Oscar Vega, a production assistant. Reglor lamps were frequently produced as a male and female pair.
