Antique country firkin, or storage container. American, mid 19th century. Pine with oak banding and handle, copper rivets. Measures 9.75" high x 9" wide at the lid and 10" wide at the bottom.
Pair of antique solid brass fireplace andirons. English, early 19th century. Classical style with urn tops and ball and claw feet. The top of one of the andirons has a very small old professional repair. Note the two-part mold line that is seen only in period andirons. Each andiron is 20.5" high x 14" wide x 21" deep, and weighs 18.5 pounds.
