French provincial 18th century walnut cupboard, circa 1780. This unusual form features an airing compartment with slatted doors over a long drawer over solid doors. A strawberry pot is carved on the apron, and a Huguenot cross is carved on the top panel. Probably made in or near Provence. Beautifully proportioned, rich original patina, in excellent condition. Measures 44 inches wide, 19 inches deep, and 87 inches tall.

First quality hand made reproduction Welsh server. This piece was made in England with hand cut dovetails and wooden pin construction from solid cherry. It was sold by Mill House in Woodbury, CT, in 1993 for $3600 after a 20% discount. We could not replace this piece today at this price. It is a lovely example of English country furniture. French Mid Century Modern Credenza c1950
French Mid Century Modern credenza, circa 1950 to 1960. Measures 74 wide x 20.5 deep x 39 high. Top is veneered in gorgeously figured book matched walnut. Sides are veneered in burl walnut, with distinctive stacked horizontal moldings that continue around to the front. the base is veneered in macassar. The doors are veneered in ivory parchment and mounted with bronze hardware. A heavy, well designed, versatile piece with clean lines in excellent original condition.

18th century Italian marble top console with paw feet. This console measures 61.25 inches wide at the top and 64.50 inches wide at the front feet. It is 30.25 inches deep and 38 inches high. The bottom shelf curves in to 11.5 inches deep at its center. It is 30.5 inches from the floor to the underside of the top skirt. The original marble is 1.75 inches thick, and shows some use marks and minor chip repairs commensurate with its age.

Excellent condition with the original Baker label on back. Purchased 30 years ago in Williamsburg, VA, from Baker Furniture Company. This approved reproduction was copied from an original 18th century American sideboard in the collection of Colonial Williamsburg. The Williamsburg label is in the center drawer.

Late 19th century. Each console measures 47 W at top x 19 D x 37.25 H and 50 inches wide at the curve of their legs. Excellent condition with an old professional repair to one marble top which is very difficult to see.

RARE diminutive American Federal period server circa 1810, probably made in Boston. Bow front and turned legs, after a Sheraton design. It measures 38.75 inches wide, 30.5 inches high, 19 inches deep at the sides and 21.5 inches deep at the center. It retains its original brasses. We had the secondary wood lab tested and found it to be white pine and beech, proving beyond any doubt its origin is American, not English.

Vintage Baker dining table chairs and sideboard
Superb vintage Baker Duncan Phyfe style dining table with 12 matching Chippendale style chairs and Hepplewhite style sideboard. This Baker dining set was purchased new 25 years ago and hardly ever used. Each piece was hand made from the finest matching mahogany. There are twelve chairs, consisting of three arms and 9 sides. Ten have matching blue silk damask material and one side and arm have a matching silk stripe. The table has two leaves, two center pedestals and banded inlay around its top. The sideboard is serpentine with straight tapered legs, and has all over inlay. The chairs each measure 38.5 inches to the top of their backs, 19 inches to the top of their seats, and 27 inches top of arms. The table measures 72 inches long by 42 inches wide closed, and has two 18 inches leaves for a total of 108 inches.The sideboard measures 69.5 inches long by 27 inches deep in the top center, 42 inches high.

Measures 33 inches deep, 97 inches wide, 33 inches deep, 36.75 inches high to the surface and 45.5 inches high to the dovetailed back splash.

Margolis mahogany American Federal Hepplewhite style sideboard. This sideboard is unsigned but was made by Harold Margolis. It was purchased by our consignors parents from Harold Margolis with a table and six chairs which are signed. The side board measures 66 inches wide by 41 and one half inches high. It is 19 and one half inches deep at both ends and 27 and one half inches in the middle. There are two drawers inside the two front doors. Serpentine front with straight tapered legs. The legs, top, and most all edges of the side board have a lovely inset inlay. Made from the finest solid matching mahogany. The Margolis furniture store was in Hartford CT. They reproduced the best examples of period 18th and early 19thc American furniture designs during the early 20th century. Magnificent French provincial hand made solid walnut menager, or dresser, from Brittany, c1900. This vintage country French menager will be the focal point of a dining room or family kitchen. Absolutely the highest quality. The drawers have large handcut dovetails and the drawer fronts have deeply carved moldings. The base is 74 inches wide by 23 inches deep and is 46 inches to the surface. The top is 74 inches wide by 12 inches deep and 59 inches to the top. The total height is 105 inches, or 8 feet 9 inches. Continental carved fruitwood glass front china cabinet with bird corners 1875. This china or display cabinet features four birds with defined feathers and ball and claw feet. Two are at the top right and left corners and two are at the base. The cabinet measures 65 inches wide by 70 and one half inches high and 22 and one half inches deep. There is also a drop drown storage compartment on the base. Made in two pieces with a single door.

Large carved oak server or sideboard, c1885, with lion masks and mirrored back. All the carving was hand carved from the case, not applied. There are two divided light doors over a base with two lion carved drawers flanked by two doors. This server was made in two parts. Overall it measures 60 inches wide by 80 inches high by 24 inches deep. It is 37 and one half inches to the top surface. The server retains its original dry varnish finish with some minor wear here and there.

Antique American Sheraton mahogany writing table desk c1820. This period Federal furniture desk is the perfect size, measuring 36 inches wide by 19 and one half inches deep, 32 inches to the writing surface and 40 inches to the top of the back splash. The top back splash and the single drawer are put together with large hand cut dovetails. There are two old cracks in the top wide board which is typical of writing desks from this period. (we show them in one of the pictures provided) The legs are thin and graceful just they way we like to see country Sheraton furniture. There are five compartments for letters, each measuring 6 and three quarters wide.

Bench made in two pieces with wooden pin construction from solid elm, great attention to detail. Multiple hand dovetailed drawers, top plate racks, base pull outs and deep rich hand waxed patina.This is as close to a period example in quality and craftsmanship as you will find. We only sell reproduction or vintage pieces when they are this quality. Measures 84 and one half inches tall, 20 inches deep at the base, 32 inches to the top of the base and 66 inches wide. The top shelves measure 8,9,10, and 16 inches high.
Early Irish furniture dairy table c1820 to 1840
Antique early Irish furniture dairy table c1820 to 1840. This is a superb piece of true period antique Irish pine. It has a wonderful old waxed finish, and is in great condition. The top is made from two wide boards.The frame has mortise and pin construction, and there are wide hand cut dovetails on the back board and drawer sides. This form is quite rare and it is the only one we have ever had the opportunity to offer. It measures 61 inches wide, 27 and one half inches deep, 30 and one half inches to the the work surface, 35 and one half inches to the top of the backsplash, 7 inches to the bottom rack surface. There are 12 inches between the rack and the apron below the drawers. One drawer is 31 and one half by 7 inches, and two drawers are 9 by 7 inches. The back of the milk bench is finished so it could be attractively used as an island in the center of a kitchen. The top is a great work surface, and the milk rack is perfect for crockery and copper pots. It would also work beautifully in a potting room for arranging flowers.
Early Pennsylvania Country Pine Server Cupboard 1750 to 1780
Early American Pennsylvania Country Pine Serving Cupboard c1750 to 1780. This "antique country pine" cabinet measures 62 and three quarters inches wide overall by 42 inches high overall and is 21 and one eighths inches deep, overall. This Pennsylvania cabinet measures 36 and one half inches high to the counter top. The large drawers measure 18 and one quarters inches wide and are 2 and three quarters inches deep down; the middle drawer measures 9 and three eighths inches wide and is 2 and three quarters inches deep down. The doors measure 20 and one half inches wide by 23 inches high, inside. The entire piece was constructed with wooden pin construction. The back boards, top, shelves and top and bottom moldings were all put on with hand made wooden pins. There is a trace of the original green paint on the raised panel doors. This was originally a two piece cupboard. Many years ago the back splash was added to the bottom so it would could be used as a server. The back splash was made exactly as it should be with wide hand cut dovetails and mortised into the base. There are three groves that run across the entire back in front of the back splash for holding plates. The entire base is original including the og feet. This period American country piece has a lovely old waxed patina.

This antique American sideboard has two large hand dovetailed side drawers along with a center drawer.As nice as this piece looks in the pictures it is even more beautiful in person.

Louis XVI Style Giltwood Console Table Circa 1880 This table has a D-shaped marble top, above a conforming frieze. It is ornamented at the round ends with fluting. The central shaped panel is centered by a scrolled leaf ornament and accented with scrolled leaves and branches. The square molded legs are scrolled at the tops with leaf and flower carving. They are joined by curved stretchers centered by a husk-draped classical urn,and supported on gadrooned toes. It measures 43 inches high by 78 inches wide by 20 inches deep. This piece was originally sold at Sothebys in New York City.
