Rare Early American silver by B Gardiner of Philadelphia. Melon form coin silver lidded sugar pot and lidded cream pitcher circa 1814 in excellent condition. All hand chased and stamped Gardiner on the base. The original receipt from Julius Goodman and Son, Memphis, TN, is inside the sugar pot. The sugar measures 8 x 8 inches and the cream 8 x 6.5 inches. Together they weigh 50 ounces. This item is on display in our gallery at OLD SAYBROOK ANTIQUES CENTER, 756 MIDDLESEX AVE, OLD SAYBROOK, CT 06475. Open Daily 10am-4pm.
