Early American country store mortar and pestle circa 1820. The mortar is turned from a solid block of maple, and retains the original red wash surface. Excellent condition. The mortar is 7.5 x 5.25", and the pestle is 10.5 x 2.75". Together they are 12.5" high.

Early American cast iron mortar and pestle, 18th to early 19th century. Excellent condition. Measures 8 inches wide x 6 inches high. Visible mold snap line underneath, only seen on early period examples.

English brass and iron trivet with penny feet, all original, 2nd quarter of the 18th century. The charming brass lattice design was entirely hand cut, as was the iron frame. Note the little penny foot. Still in lovely condition after nearly 300 years worth of warming tea kettles.
