Fine hand made reproduction Georgian travel lap desk made by M. Barba May in 1994 of solid mahogany. A superb exact copy of an original from circa 1800. Measures 14.5" long x 10.25" wide x 4.5" high.
Antique ship captain's ebonized roll top lap desk circa 1850. Excellent original condition. The tambour roll functions perfectly. Brass mountings, cut glass inkwell and original key. Measures 12 inches wide, 10 inches deep and 7 inches high.
Early American drop front paymaster's desk circa 1840-1860. Excellent original condition with secret compartment and full interior. The interior was designed to hold daily ledgers. The case is solid mahogany and the interior is maple with birdseye maple drawer fronts. Measures 59” high, 29" high to the writing surface, 33” wide at the case, 35.75" wide at the crest, 9.5" deep at the top, and 20.5" deep at the base.
