Rare pair of Chinese Ming dynasty earthenware temple guardian figures made into lamps. The figures originally were architectural ornaments or supports. These lamps have exceptionally fine mountings, circa 1910-1930, with brass and bronze fittings the quality of which cannot be found today. The adjustable shafts telescope from 31 to 34 inches. Lovely estate condition with some old professional repairs. The figures each measure 11" W x 18" H x 6" D. The gorgeously carved rosewood pedestals each measures 12.5" W x 7" D x 2.5" H. We have never seen another pair like them. They are truly impressive. If you wish to browse our entire available inventory please go to OneofaKindAntiques.com.
