Vintage Talleres de Los Ballesteros, Taxco, Mexico, heavy hand-wrought silver cuff bracelet with cabochon purple agate center stone, circa 1955. This bracelet has a wonderful weight and design, and a strong tongue and groove closure. Stamped and hallmarked with the Los Ballesteros "B", within "Talleres de Los Ballesteros Taxco GRO", and Hecho en Mexico 925". Size: 6 3/8" circumference (around). The tablet measures 2" x 1 3/8" and the cabochon stone measures 1.25" x 1". It is set high. Ballesteros designs have their roots in Pre-Conquest clay stamps and architectural motifs. The studio won numerous awards at the Fiesta de la Plata in Taxco.
