Wallace Nutting early American tavern table c1920. This signed Wallace Nutting country kitchen tavern table measures 36 inches wide, 24 inches deep and 26 and three quarter inches high. This tavern table was completely hand made and held together with wooden pin construction. The single drawer has birdseye maple drawer sides.This is an exact reproduction, made by the famous furniture company of Wallace Nutting. Nutting author of "Furniture Treasury" a book that documented the finest examples of American furniture of the late 16th, 17th,18th and early 20th century in America, started a furniture company that copied the best examples from those periods. His cabinet men used similar woods and construction methods.
