Early and true matched pair of American portrait paintings oil on canvas. This is a very important pair of portraits. The girl wears a gold woven hair locket and holds a pidgeon. In the background is a red tasseled drapery and a clock tower visible through a window. The boy sits with a crossed leg on a Ducan Phyfe roll arm red sofa. He wears a ruby and pearl collar pin. He is smiling and his upper teeth are showing. This matched pair of portraits has been in the same family for generations. Each canvas was laid down on board many years ago. Each painting measures 29 by 36 inches.
