Modern steel sculpture entitled "Two Wolves Laughing at the Moon", created by artist Brian McCarthy of New London, CT. Brian is best known for his figural abstract welded steel sculptures. He was born June 16, 1945 and began art school at age 6 studying under Thomas Hughes Ingle (Show Whitney Museum 1956) and was later influenced by Harris Rodvogin. He formalized his art education at Connecticut College, New London, 1969 to 1973. Presently his work is in private collections in South Hampton LI, Connecticut College, German Naval Headquarters in Eichenforde, Germany, and several other American and European collections. All works are meant to be displayed outdoors. Three large pieces are on display in "The Sculpture Mile" show in Madison CT. These exhibits are sponsored the Hollycroft Foundation, Ivoryton, CT, and curated by William Bendig, the director and former editor of Art Gallery Magazine. The sculpture measures 68 inches high by 13 inches wide by 1 inch thick with an integral base that is 17 by 28 inches.
