Vintage colonial tin chandelier handmade by Richard D. Scofield of Period Lighting Fixtures, Chester, CT circa 1985. Seven-arm tin chandelier with hand dipped candle covers. Excellent working condition. Richard Scofield made the finest exact copies of period American lighting in America and was allowed by Historic Deerfield to make copies of its collection. The candles are made from real bees wax. After he died at an early age, the company continued under different ownership but finally closed. The earlier works like this one are coveted by collectors of period Americana. Measures 13.5 inches high x 22 inches wide with a 14-inch long connecting rod.
