This joint stool was made with wooden pins and hand-planed top to look exactly like an English Tudor period stool. The maker was Westing, Evans & Egmore, founded in Philadelphia in 1916, manufacturers and sellers of furniture, woodwork and interior decoration. One of the firm's most important commissions was the furnishing of the Folger Shakespeare Library, built 1929-1932, in Washington, D.C. Excellent condition and quite strong. Measures 18" L x 10.75" W x 21.75" H.
