Wallace Nutting Pennsylvania Ten Legger maple bench. Low back and knuckle arms. Circa 1900. Stamped with the Wallace Nutting burned in mark and paper label marked No. 514. Dimensions: height 30.5 inches; width 89.75 inches; depth of seat 16 inches. Please see 'Wallace Nutting Furniture Treasury' item 1651 for a similar period example made circa 1760-80. This particular example is in the Wallace Nutting Supreme Edition General Catalog, Schiffer Limited, Exton, PA, 1984, page 95. The bench is in very good condition with some minor use marks commensurate with its age. Wallace Nutting reproduced the finest examples of American Colonial furniture and is highly prized by museums and advanced collectors.
