Early D. R. Dimes country pine dining table with its original Old Sturbridge Village stamp. D. R. Dimes built tables that were sold by Old Sturbridge Village. He marked these pieces OSV (shown in one of the images). The table is hand crafted with wooden pin construction, through-mortised breadboard ends, and is set with hand made nails. The legs were mortised through the top; this method of joinery was unique to early Dimes tables. Strong hand block-planing to the two top boards. The top shows some gentle wear patina commensurate with its age. Measures 34" wide by 72" long by 29.5" high.
