This birdseye maple cheval mirror is in mint original condition. The original John Breuner label is still on the reverse. The front and back are all covered with birdseye maple and the scroll design is all hand carved. As nice as the pictures we have provided look this cheval mirror is far more important looking in person. The light maple color gives it an elegant look. Measures 71 and one quarter inches high by 32 inches at its widest point. The design of this antique Cheval mirror is quite unusual, it was handmade so the the mirror and the supporting arms pivot without having to move the whole piece or its base. John Breuner, a famous Sacramento furniture maker, was reputed to have started his career building cradles for the miners and had a thriving business building sturdy beds.
