Rare early American Boston Coin silver,"porringer" This extremely rare porringer was made by the famous silver maker from Boston Mass. William Homes. Wm Homes Father Robert was a ship captain and his mother Mary was Ben Franklins Sister. Born 1716, died 1785. His Son Wm. Homes Jr. (born 1742 died 1825) took over the shop in 1763. This is the earlier form made by the father. Measures 5 inches round and 2 inches high. Total length with handle is 8 inches.CONDITION: Good, over all surface wear and small impressions,repair to handle (visible in one of the photographs).Strong hallmark
