Interior design is the process of decorating an indoors space to make it more appealing to the eye and more comfortable to be in. An interior designer is a person whom may be thought of as an 'expert' in the field of interior design or someone that designs interiors for a living.
Style All design styles have essential parts, such as theme, color, proportion and balance, and function of design.
Themes A theme is a consistent idea used throughout a room to create a feeling of completeness. Themes often follow period styles, such as 'in the style of' Louis XV, or Art Deco style.
Interior designers provide services such as:

• consulting services to help determine project goals and objectives
• creating ideas for the functionality and aesthetic possibilities of the space
• creating illustrations, renderings
• monitoring and managing construction of the design
• selecting products, fixtures, furnishings, etc.
• purchasing products and fixtures
• designing lighting and managing fabrication
