Gouache on paper portrait of a woman Brazil c1966 by Brazilian artist Artur Luiz Piza .The recent museum quality frame measures 21 3/4 by 26.5 inches, the image measures 13 and one half inches by 18 and one half inches. Signed center bottom and inscribed lower left to Niles Bond. Niles Bond was a major collector of Brazilian Art from this period and a patron of the artist. We believe this to be a portrait of his wife.Niles Bond worked for the State Department from 1939- 1969. He was officer in charge of Korean Affairs in 1949 and 1950.
