English c1690 Monastic triple base oak trestle dining tableEnglish William & Mary period monastic refectory oak dining table. Triple trestle base. Gorgeous patina. Excellent condition, from a fine VA estate. The table measures 131 inches long, 36.5 inches wide, and 30 inches high. It was purchased in 1975 from "The Oak and Walnut Shop" located at 98 Crawford Street in London. The dealer had purchased it from a monastery. We have all the original documentation available for review.The table was appraised by Sotheby Parke Bernet Inc., NY, on April 30, 1980, and also by John Hazard Forbes in West Chester, PA, on March 7,1980. |
